Description
The MCS6.A is a low-profile embedded cellular antenna designed for direct SMD/SMT mounting on a device PCB. It supports NB-IoT and Cat-M1 use cases while also covering broad 4G/3G/2G cellular operation, making it well-suited for compact connected devices.
- Embedded SMD/SMT form factor: Designed for pick-and-place assembly and reflow soldering onto the PCB edge.
- LPWA-ready: Supports NB-IoT and Cat-M1 to help enable low-power IoT and M2M deployments.
- Integration-friendly: Can be tuned for the device environment without requiring new tooling.
- Use cases: Automotive, smart metering, medical, and smart city devices, including NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) deployments.
Installation / Environmental
The following is an example on how to integrate the MCS6.A into a design. This antenna has 4 pins, where one pin is used for the RF Feed. It is recommended using a minimum of 107x45mm ground plane (PCB) to ensure optimal performance.
